Britney to Get Steamy, Slaughter-y in Stripper Flick? </span>
Of the many comeback vehicles Britney Spears could hop into, is a starring role as a homicidal lesbian stripper at the front of the pack?
So says the London Daily Telegraph, which claims Quentin Tarantino is eyeing the still closely supervised singer for a remake of Russ Meyer's bouncing bosom- and blood-filled 1965 cult classic, "Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!"
Spears, whose previous on-camera stripping performance was universally panned, would be tapped to play Varla, who, with two exotic dancer pals, goes on a kidnapping and killing spree.
According to the likely-wishful-thinking-packed paper, Brit "will also have sex scenes with another girl before the drama ends in a bloodbath," and it adds that Tarantino is trying to land two more big names to play her stripping partners in crime.
"Quentin is convinced Britney will be brilliant," a snitch is quoted as saying. "She's delighted. She thinks it could turn her career around. It is perfect Tarantino material. He wanted to get Britney first. She's playing the most important character."
Problem is, the less than prolific filmmaker is currently hard at work on the World War II flick "Inglorious Bastards," for which he's trying to woo the A-list likes of Brad Pitt. Plus, he's previously shot down reports of a "Faster" redo.
Alas, it looks like we'll have to wait a while longer for Spears to find a worthy follow-up to the award-winning (hey, Razzies are awards) "Crossroads."
"Though she definitely intends to explore acting roles down the road, right now she's concentrating on recording her next album," her rep tells "Access Hollywood."
Meanwhile, will Britney land big bucks for pictures of her showing off her streamlined figure in a teeny white bikini during her recent getaway to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico?
A snitch tells the New York Post that the vacation was "set up by her camp" and that a deal has been brokered for "a series of shots that she's offering exclusively to a celebrity weekly for $1 million."
Not so, says her rep, who insists to the paper, "If someone is trying to sell photos of Britney in Cabo, they're doing so without her knowledge or permission."
When not battling the rumor mill, Spears has been hitting the party circuit -- with her father.
E! News says she and dad Jamie turned up at a Beverly Hills soiree hosted by mogul-pal Phil Maloof on Wednesday night.
Brit planted herself in a VIP room that was cordoned off from the hoi polloi, who nonetheless tried to catch a glimpse of the tabloid topper in their midst.
"It was like an exhibit at a zoo," a fellow guest tells E!. "There was a line of people waiting to look in and see the Britney exhibit."
Spears, however, ignored the stares as she smoked and sipped a Coke.
"She looked great," adds the partygoer. "She was chatting with friends. She looked like she was having a good time."
The evening's only hiccup: A paparazzo apparently tried to slip into the bash, but Jamie recognized him and ordered him to skedaddle.
"He said, 'You're just like Adnan,'" an insider informs E!, a reference to Britney's chin strip-bedecked shutterbug ex, Adnan Ghalib.
